In 1926 Georges-Gaston Gaspard creates a bookstore in Valenciennes (North of France). Progressively the small bookstore grows and from retail company expands to a printing service company producing its own paper products range.From the 80's to year 2005, Lyreco expands to Europe and Asia Pacific.

Hoe ziet je dag eruit?

We can divide the working schedule of a PPE expert in 3 main parts:

Corporate International:

  • 55% of your time is spent in Corporate, 40% in International and 15% in Public;
  • You will have the responsibility over the results in PPE in 1 corporate international team. This is a shared responsibility together with the Sales Manager, PPE ambassador and all the team members;
  • The vast majority of your time is spent looking for new customers within the existing customer portfolio. We target customers with a potential of + €20k;
  • The next part of your role is to visit and give support to existing customers. You will cooperate together with the responsible account manager, who will keep full responsibility over the customer;
  • Follow-up: once a month you will have a follow-up meeting with the PPE ambassador of that specific team. What’s the content? New prospects, openings, activated prospects, ongoing deals, actions to take. Feedback from each team is to be discussed with the Sales Manager PPE;
  • You will coach and support the generalist sales, the goal is to bring knowledge and skills to the generalist sales force. Treat questions where the ambassadors knowledge is insufficient. Coach them to close deals themselves. Where to sell and how to sell.

Corporate Public:

  • You will have the responsibility over the results in PPE in 1 corporate Public team;
  • The approach is broadly the same, but our focus is more on - €8k deals, with our 4 basic PPE products.
  • Mid Market:
  • You will have the responsibility over the results in PPE in 1 Mid Market team;
  • The approach is similar to the way of work in Corporate International.

Small Medium Business:

  • The focus in SMB is to coach and support generalist sales. They need to be able to close deals themselves in PPE. Deals with low complexity and low potential. Key in this division is motivation and fast results;
  • Potentials of + €10k will be treated as a new customer.


  • The PPE ambassadors training takes place 5 times a year (1/2 day). The agenda: figures – share successes – product training, given by the PPE expert to his group of ambassadors;
  • Give the PPE starter training: everyone who starts in sales gets in his induction period the PPE starter training;
  • Giving support to internal departments, such as Quotes and Tender-department en Bidsupport.
Wie zoeken wij?
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in PPE-sector (in distribution is a plus);
